Touch panel makers such as Truly Optoelectronics, O-Film and Wintek are seeing increased orders from China handset vendors such as GiONEE.
Most of the orders are for GiONEE's W808 smartphone in addition to orders from Oppo, lenovo and Huawei Device.
Digitimes Research meanwhile said that O-Film's touch panel shipments for use in handsets are expected to climb 60.9% in 2014 while those for tablet applications will rise 75.3% on year.
