According to data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), Japan’s production of galvanized steel sheets totaled 986,592 tons in January, rising by 9.3% from a month ago while falling 0.5% year on year.
In January, the country’s shipments of galvanized steel sheets totaled 946,886 tons, increasing by 5.2% from the previous month and rising by 3.1% year on year.
Among them, 70% were for the domestic markets and the remaining 30% were made to export markets.
Besides, Japan’s stocks of galvanized steel sheets amounted to 1 million tons in January, up by 4% month on month while falling by 6.75% year on year.
